Y'all already know the Caldo's are my favorite part of the family, any story that gives me a glance of James & Izzy jumps to the top of my favorites list immediately so their baby boys story was sure to make me a happy girl.
Carmello's story was one I'd been waiting for and it was worth the wait.
Trauma as a young adult made him the man he is, or should I say man whore he is, until reality hits him and he realizes he wants and needs more in his life. How to change his behavior and thought process is the problem.
Lucky for him he has a huge family and Lily is more than happy to help reform him and she knows the perfect person to help.
Arlo isn't the type of girl Carmello goes after, yes she's beautiful but she's not a one an done kind of girl so she's perfect for him to devote a month of dating to to work on his relationship skills.
She has her own trauma, but she chose to go about dealing with hers in the complete opposite way Mello does. She's a quiet bookworm with a good head on her shoulders. She knows what she wants and she won't settle for less.
She agrees to the 30 day challenge, not that spending time with the sexy man who saved her is a hardship. All she has to do is take notes, report back to Lily and don't sleep with him.
Easy enough.
Until it isn't.
I loved these two so much. As much as I hate the idea of the typical woman reforms bad boy this was not the typical. It was Mello's idea so it wasn't a woman changing his as much as he wanted to change and she made him want to be a better man.
Their story is a bit sweet and ofcourse full of Gallo's, it's a must read.
