Holy hell.
If you've followed my reviews you know I have a teeny tiny addiction to this author, that her heroes and heroines are some of my all-time favorites, well you are about to hear it again!
Pace is absolutely amazing. He's been broken but got back up and pushed on. He's strong, loyal, caring and while his history is sad it just made him a much more impressive man.
Oakley Spurlock (recognize that last name? Yep we get past series characters!!) is dying, she needs a kidney and it just so happens Pace is a match. You would think his body has been through more than it's share of pain and loss but being the phenomenal man he is he's offering.
Only when he thought he'd lose a kidney he may just lose much more than that..
Oakley and Pace share a history, not that they actually knew about it. Through her brother they were connected and now that Pace knows who she is he's determined to help her, to keep her alive and while doing that she may steal another organ or two as well!
Their story is a must read, a can't put it down read until late into the night kind of read and those to me are the best kind.
I loved every minute of this and can't imagine how the next hero could be any better (but I'm sure the author will find a way to make me eat those words!)
