Blurb

Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
Forget everything good you’ve been told about love, because none of it’s true.
You don’t agree?
Spend a day in my shoes and you’d curse love too.

My name’s Blue.
Yes, you read that right. Blue Daniels.
And I hate love.
I despise every single thing about it.
In my thirty-two years on this earth it has brought me nothing but heartbreak and disappointment.
Love is a void. Something we’re taught we need if we want to live a happy and fulfilled life.
Well I disagree.
Some say I’m a cynic. Other’s call me the smartest woman they’ve ever met.
But no matter what anyone says, I know what I need. And love is not it.

Enter Harris Avery.
A man who thinks he can have anyone he wants, including me.
A man who reminds me daily why I swore off love in the first place.
He walks around the office like he owns the place, throwing that sexy smirk of his at every female he passes. He thinks no one is immune to his charm.
But poor Mr. Avery has never met a girl like me before.
I’m more likely to throw myself off a bridge than at his feet.

There’s just one problem…
He’s decided to make it his mission to prove me wrong.
To that I say, let the games begin…

Review

The only reason I gave this book such a high rating is because of Harris. I absolutely LOVED him but didn't get the appeal of Blue. He obviously saw something I didn't. He was charming and romantic. Yes he attracted the ladies and may have had some fun along the way but when it came to Blue, he put his heart out there and had it smashed so many times. She held up the walls until the end of the book. I get that she was burned by several bad relationships that made her hate love but she was determined to hold onto that and not let her heart feel. I mean I would have been swooning at some of the things he did for her. Maybe I'm Hannah, her best friend. She was swooning at everything he did. She was also a smart woman. She finally broke down the walls on Blue. Made her see what all he was doing was because he truly cared and loved her. Made her open her eyes for once and see he wasn't a bad guy. He was one of the good ones. I didn't really connect with Blue. I wanted to smack more times in this book. I mean it was obvious he was into her, everyone saw it but her. Ugh she makes me mad just thinking about it. This book will annoy you but you will also fall hard for Harris, he is book boyfriend material.
